About Us

Grades:  PreK- 5
Enrollment:  375
From the outside, our school looks pretty much like any other school; however, once you cross our threshold, you know we are special. Our motto, “We bee’-lieve in children,” speaks of our conviction that every child can learn and achieve his or her maximum potential. The dedication to this principle is apparent everywhere. We apply our knowledge about instruction and assessment to ensure the active engagement and success of students. We emphasize best practices and work toward less teacher directed lessons and more student involvement. Our expectations are high. We have a highly qualified, committed faculty and staff, quality programming, and we give every student an opportunity to participate, to belong, to learn, to serve, and to achieve. Our approach with less able learners offers them opportunities to improve their academic performance in a positive child-centered environment. High achieving students are encouraged to excel at even higher levels. For students who need additional help, our staff support team is available. We maintain trustworthy relationships with social service outlets, which affords specialized assistance to those in need. With our Positive Behavior Intervention System and Core Essentials program, we seek to build self-esteem, instill positive values, and equip our students with life strategies. By emphasizing our commitment to doing what is best for children, each and every time, we strive to gain the trust respect of every child, parent and community member. We are proud of the efforts of our students, staff, parents and community that make Orchard Park Elementary School a great place to learn and grow.
